"Theology" is nothing more than studying and thinking about God. I believe queer youth are very interested in God, probably more-so than most, but I am aware of zero theologians who through their writings try to embrace the journeys of queer youth. Some may exist but they definitely aren't writing for any major publishers.
At this stage in QueerMe's history, the quest has just begun with the introduction of Embraced by God: Queers, the Bible and Conservative Christianity. In fact, it was my writing of this book that directly led to the creation of the QueerMe web site. The reason I went first with a web site, instead of a traditional publisher, is that I wanted as many people as possible to read this book. Quite frankly, I want several hundred thousand or more people to eventually read this book, and that many people would never have paid to get a copy--not even if Oprah selected Embraced for her book club. (Note: I'd like Embraced to eventually get published as a paperback book so it can be available in libraries and bookstores, but I figured no publisher would allow me to give the book away for free as a download, so I'm doing this first).
Why care? First, because I wholeheartedly believe in the message of this book that God truly embraces us as queers. Secondly, I have the arrogance to think I have some new and powerful insights to offer in the debate over the Bible's view of GLBT persons. Thirdly, I want to help queer youth and adults take control of their spiritual lives, for true spirituality doesn't need the pope's or Billy Graham's permission to do anything.
